Tricks and tips to get the best vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your budget:

  • Summer time is high season in the Georgetown, SC area. Book your Georgetown, SC rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Georgetown, SC area travel guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Georgetown, SC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your search:

  • Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. 9 Bedroom 5 bath Oceanfront Beach House in gate Debordieu community! has 9 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before you book your home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.

More tips for your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
