- Summer time is high season in the Georgetown, SC area. To find the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and reduced traffic.
- Some property management companies offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. - Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. The Red Door House in Historic Georgetown has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before you reserve the property. - Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Make a record of any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute arises.

- Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective.
