- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. To get the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Georgetown, SC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitors guides have offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
