Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. How to choose the perfect rental home:
- To start, have your group agree to the best dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Cozy Oceanview Villa just steps from beach and pool has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you book the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Additional considerations:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
